Fire Rated Gasket Joint Protection

Safti-Seal introduces a new line of “peel and stick” UL 2079 v.5 certified Fire Rated Gasket joint protection rated for 100% movement and up to 2.00" overall deflection. The FRG material can be combined with “butt cut and go” track install and new (SCAB) “snip slot” angle backing to improve install production, jobsite safety and reduce trade overlap. Fire, smoke and sound rated “tape-on” protection can be installed, completed and inspected prior to stud, MEP and drywall install providing moisture-resistant solutions in all weather conditions.

Plan set details available for both flat concrete and fluted deck substrates align design, install and inspection streamlining Life Safety Protection. FRG in combination with SCAB assemblies also improve production with a single trip to friction fit SCAB (certified backing of joint materials), apply flute fill (metal deck conditions), and tape-on joint protection eliminating “go back” or additional “post drywall joint fill requirements” in both hidden and exposed conditions.

FRG comes in 82' rolls from 3/4" to 2 1/4" wide providing simple, clean application, jobsite handling and storage. Continuous roll material and gasket seal eliminates extra work detailing butt joints and corners (inside or out) along with moisture absorbent production issues.

All Safti-Seal brand products are made in the USA.
